Re-Cell Suite

 

Asset Science’s flagship product, Re-Cell Suite, is designed to assist in the processing of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets using four core components: Diagnostics, Configuration, Content Clearing, and Analytics. The software is used to automate, streamline, and measure operator performance at repair centers as devices are passed through the system.

 

When devices are returned to storefronts by customers and the device is correspondingly sent to a repair facility that runs the Re-Cell Suite software, devices are able to be rapidly diagnosed and enter repair queues faster and with more accurate results all while gathered data is made available to better understand streamline existing processes.

As a software developer for this project, my contributions included:

  • Responsible for key functionality to improve service, usability, and flow
  • Led Agile design of customer-requested features
  • Designed, developed, and maintained a ‘dependency deployment system’ used by Re-Cell Suite to download and install required driver upgrades
  • Working with a team, designed, developed, and maintained the desktop application that ran the Re-Cell Suite
  • Ensured product stability and quality as the software evolved
  • Provided key legacy knowledge of existing system and helped developed the 2.0 version of the Re-Cell Suite
  • Participated in code reviews
  • Designed UML diagrams for process flow
  • Participated in Agile sprint planning
